Joining the Mini Superleggera Vision on the BMW Group's stand at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 this weekend is a new motorcycle study from BMW Motorrad. Named the Concept Roadster, it follows the Concept Ninety that was presented at the same event last year.

This is What a BMW M2 Could Look Like

Rumor has it that a fully-fledged M variant of the 2-Series coupe, an M2, could hit the global market in 2016. In theory, the recipe is simple: take the already sporty and sharp M235i, make it lighter, wider and more focused, then bestow it with the same or similar engine as the one under the bonnet of the M3/M4 duo, albeit in a detuned guise (with between 360 – 400 hp).

Joining the new M4 Convertible as well as the X4 crossover, facelifted X3, 4-Series Gran Coupe and ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe at BMW's New York Auto Show booth later this month will be a "further refined" version of the production-intent Concept X5 eDrive plug-in hybrid that we first saw at last year's Frankfurt motor show.

A Quick Glimpse at BMW's Offerings at the LA Auto Show

BMW's presence at the Los Angeles Auto Show was focused on the world premiere of the 4-Series Convertible, with the U.S. being the car's biggest market, followed by Germany, the UK and China.

Fitted with a retractable hardtop that takes 20 seconds to be lowered down, the 4-Series Convertible will launch in the States next spring with two engine options, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four delivering 240hp in the 428i, and a 300hp 3.0-liter turbocharged six for the 435i. Prices start from $49,675.

BMW's North American premieres at the show included the thinly disguised X4 Concept that will lead to a production crossover model next year, and the i8 Hybrid Coupe that's already available for order with the…low starting price of $135,700.

BMW Brings M4 Concept, Shuttles Celebs at GQ Men of the Year 2013 Gala

While as car (or football / soccer) fans you may be deeply indifferent about David Beckham nabbing the title of the most "Stylish Man of the Year" at the "2013 GQ Men of the Year Awards", and wildly perplexed after learning that Kylie Minogue was bestowed the "Gentlewoman of the Year award" at the…same event, you will most likely care about the M4 Concept that was on display there.

Fundamentally, a pre-production version, the 424hp (430PS) and 500Nm (369 lb-ft) of peak torque six-cylinder coupe model was placed as a background for photo shoots, as BMW is the official partner of the event that was hosted last night (November 7) in Berlin.

The Bavarian firm also had a few M6 Gran Coupes on hand to shuttle service the numerous celebrities participating in the gala. See the cars in the gallery below.

U Spy: BMW i3 Coupe Concept Parked on the Streets of LA

As we were reminded earlier this week, BMW has been working on electric cars for four decades now beginning with the 1602 Electric in 1972, and next year, it will introduce its first series production EV in the form of the all-new i3 five-door supermini.
At the recent LA Auto Show, BMW displayed a three-door concept version of the sub-compact model named the i3 Coupe, and it is this car that CarScoop reader Alfred H. spotted on the road this week.

A Brief Look at BMW's All-Electric Cars from the 1970s to Today

On July 25, BMW’s first dedicated i Store opened its doors at London’s Park Lane, right next to the BMW and Mini dealerships, a year and a half before the i3 premium city car rolls off the production line at the company’s Leipzig plant.
The i3 was previewed by a concept study at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The prototype is powered by a 170HP electric motor, although BMW has revealed that the production model will also feature a range-extending gasoline engine that will work as a battery generator.
That much you may know as the Munich-based automaker has been promoting its i sub-brand heavily, the most recent example being the i3 Coupe, a three-door version of the 2011 study.

BMW’s Hybrid Active Tourer Concept is a 1-Series GT in Disguise

BMW’s Retrolicious 328 Homage Concept Makes Official Debut

The stage is set for this weekend’s Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy with automakers and individual owners of classic cars already rolling out their goods for the 2011 edition of the show. The famed event will also play host to the world premiere of a fresh batch of sports car concept cars such as the Aston Martin V12 Zagato that we told you about earlier today and the BMW 328 Hommage concept, which we present here.
The BMW 328 Hommage was created on the occasion of the original model’s 75th birthday. While the Bavarian automaker avoids to make the connection, the 328 Hommage appears to be based on (or at least developed from) the Vision ConnectedDrive roadster study, which premiered at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
