DMC Envisions a Hardcore Ferrari LaFerrari FXXR

Even if the LaFerrari will be one of the Italian brand's most exclusive supercars ever with no more than 499 to be produced in its lifetime, Ferrari's past suggests that some sort of one or more small runs of special editions will be made.

It's too early for Ferrari to divulge details on such plans, but German magazine Autobild approached local super- and luxury car tuner DMC to imagine what a hardcore yet still street-legal version of the Ferrari in the spirit of the Enzo FXX and 599 XX would look like.

The result is the LaFerrari FXXR, which in digital form, has adopted all sorts of aero enhancements, from carbon fiber lip spoilers and canards, to a rear wing and roof scoop, plus a racing livery and track-style wheels.

DMC didn't miss the opportunity to offer something of the sort to interested customers, stating the following in a press release it sent over our way:

"Who knows…it sure wouldn’t hurt getting in touch with DMC for more details … sometimes dreams can come true you know, all it takes is an avid enthusiast that wants to own a masterpiece like no other."

Yellow Ferrari LaFerrari Revs its V12 Engine at the Mugello Race Track

Since the launch of the LaFerrari in March this year at the Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari has only shown us red painted cars. I for one, have always liked how the Ferrari Enzo looked in yellow, so seeing a lemony LaFerrari made me realize the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

A YouTube user has filmed a yellow LaFerrari at the carmaker’s Mugello race track in Italy on the occasion of the Finali Mondiali Ferrari, an event dedicated to customer racing. The car was driven by Ferrari test driver Dario Benuzzi, with Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo joining him for a lap around Mugello.

The video also includes the superb sounds of the 789HP (800PS) 6.3-liter V12 engine as it is fired up and as it passes by on the circuit’s straight line. As a reminder, the hybrid LaFerrari has a total output of 950HP (963PS) and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 3 seconds. Enjoy!

Ferrari LaFerrari Takes a Quick Shower at Car Wash

I know drivers with mainstream automobiles who wouldn't touch an automatic car wash with a 10 foot poll, yet here's Ferrari's prized LaFerrari going under the robotic shower; what gives?

Well, the answer lies in the video description from YouTube author cvdzijden: "Best carwash in the world? I have filmed the Ferrari LaFerrari in the carwash at the Ferrari factory". Moreover, the wraps on the rear end of the Italian hybrid model suggest that it might be a test prototype.

Still, call us crazy, but we kind of cringe whenever we see any classics, exotics or nicely maintained vehicles use the car wash.

Perhaps the strangest and most saddening part of this video, is the group of young men, possibly Ferrari workers, who walk by without giving a single glimpse at the mid-engine model.
