Following the sketches revealed last week, VW has lifted the virtual veils off the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo, a car designed exclusively for the Gran Turismo 6 video game.

BMW Vision GT in Action in GT6

With 541 hp sent to the rear wheels and an exterior kit that puts the wide back into widebody, the BMW Vision GT is the kind of car you’d lick clean every night if it were a real thing with you as its owner. It’s not, though, unlike the Toyota FT-1 Concept, but like the other Vision models from other manufacturers, you’ll only ever get to drive it in Gran Turismo 6 (GT6).

Gran Turismo 6 to Use GPS Data to Recreate Your Favorite Road In-Game!

Despite disappointing some users for not being released on the PlayStation 4 and not taking full advantage of its technical capabilities, Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) just got a whole lot more interesting.

We have just learnt that it will support GPS data logging towards the goal of recreating whatever track or stretch of road you like in-game!

Yes, that’s right – if you will have access to a car capable of recording the necessary data, all you will have to do is then let the new track/road editor do all the compiling work, creating a virtual representation of your chosen road.

It’s impressive because it actually already works as intended, not just in theory, and it is reportedly being added to GT6 via an update that is set to be released not long after the game itself.

What this means is there’s the potential for virtually infinite re-playability, which coupled with the high number of available vehicles, makes the game more tempting than before.

It’s not yet clear how this new feature will be integrated into the game exactly, but as previously stated, the video posted below, courtesy of GT Planet, shows that it works and does so quite seamlessly. Apparently, there are still some bugs in the system to work out, but even as it stands, we are deeply impressed!

Mercedes's AMG Vision Gran Turismo 1:1 Scale Model for Gran Turismo 6

Mercedes-Benz has presented the AMG Vision Gran Turismo, a concept of a super sports car that will be featured in the Gran Turismo 6 video game for PlayStation 3.

A 1:1 scale model, the coupe features extreme proportions and strong contours that emphasize the brute force of the 585PS (577hp) V8 engine.

The Stuttgart brand tells us that it envisioned the car to with an aluminum spaceframe body and carbon fiber components, weighing in at 1,385 kg (3,053 lbs), meaning the power-to-weight ratio is an impressive 2.4 kg per hp. No acceleration figures were offered, but Mercedes says the study has “exceptionally dynamic performance”.

The first in a series of Vision Gran Turismo” vehicles, the study will premiere on November 19, 2013, at the opening of the new Mercedes‑Benz Research & Development Center in Sunnyvale, California. The virtual debut of the car will be in December 2013, when the Gran Turismo 6 video game goes on sale.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo features a long bonnet that flows into a compact greenhouse offset to the rear, which is shaped like a water drop. The dramatic side contour, wheel arches and angled headlights reinforce the car’s powerful presence.

The study features motorsport details such as the release catches on the bonnet and the fuel cap, while red-glowing contour lines on the lower part of the vehicle create an effect similar to that of exterior ambient lighting. The radiator grille reminds of the 300 SL racing car of 1952, but features exclusively LEDs instead of louvres.

Inspired by a Formula 1 cockpit, the interior comes with red integral sports seats that blend into the black flooring of the footwell to form a protective shell. The dashboard is designed in the form of two gullwing doors that are positioned on each side of the steering column. As a result, the actual doors themselves appear to be an extension of the instrument panel.

New Gran Turismo 6 Trailer Plus the Complete List with 1,197 Cars [53 Photos]

The arrival of Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) on store shelves is exactly one month away, and it’s undoubtedly a very eagerly anticipated title because it doesn’t come with buying a new console to run it – an old PlayStation 3 is all you need.

Now, Polyphony Digital, the developer working on the game for Sony, has released a new trailer, to keep the fans’ appetites whetted. It keeps emphasis on the sheer number of cars that players are going to be given the chance to drive, even if not all of them will benefit from the same level of 3D craftsmanship and attention to detail.

It does look like close attention was paid to recreating the Lunar Roving Vehicle LEV-001, made in 1971, though with 1196 other vehicles to choose from, it’s not the most exciting new addition. I for one would be much more interested to drive Nissan’s narrow DeltaWing racing car, one of the 124 vehicles newly created for , or, say, the very pretty 1957 BMW 507.

Check out the complete list below (along with 53 photos), but be warned because there may be more added as it is "one part of the cars planned for inclusion, and is subject to change".
