Classic Mercedes SL Gullwing Crashes and Burns

There’s a very good reason why those who participate in the Mille Miglia have been, from 1977 on, held back from driving it like an actual race. A total of 56 drivers died between 1927 and 1957, after which it was put on hold completely for two decades, before being reborn the way we know it today, as a slow-paced historic rally.

Iranian Girls Selfie Accident Gives Birth to Spoof Video

Some felt sorry, others had a few laughs (knowing that they escaped alive) with the two young Iranian girls who crashed their car after taking a selfie video of themselves singing to the tunes of their favorite pop song, and which we showed you last week.

Sounds of Lamborghini Aventador Scraping the Road will Make You Cringe

Yes, yes, this is the now infamous matte-black Lamborghini Aventador LP640-4 that went airborne after colliding with a Mazda2, before striking a parked BMW 3 in London this past Sunday, stirring quite a commotion in the online world, with some people placing the blame on the tall Japanese hatch, but most, on the Italian supercar's driver.

The Mother of All Parking Fails Happened Right in front of the DMV!

It starts with a simple bump to another car stationed behind, but this parking incident quickly escalates from a silly facepalm into a massive "holy crap!" episode. Seriously, you have to see it to believe it.

FedEx Driver has a Bad Day

Just like every profession and industry in general have their ups and downs, so do the professionals who practice them. Most of the times, mishaps and blunders remain hidden from public view, but occasionally, our camera-obsessed world captures these delicate Moments of Zen.

Teen Girl's Toy Car Ride Goes Facepalm Down the Stairs

I guess it's probably better to fail and have an accident with a pedal toy car in your house than in a real vehicle on the road - not that it will be any comfort to this unlucky teen girl who set herself up for viral fame after her friend filmed her painful Moment of Zen.

Mystery Crash: Where Did This Scooter Rider Come From?

Warning: Some viewers may find the accident scene disturbing

Okay, so here's the thing; we've watched this dash-cam footage of an accident involving a car and a scooter that took place in Taiwan's Kaohsiung City a number of times, but we still haven't figured out where the motorcycle rider came from.

Obviously, we're missing one or more clues from this scene, which would explain how the motorcyclist crashed into / hit the dark-colored sedan on the right hand side.

Unfortunately, the rider appears to be hurt, though we can't say for sure as the footage ends at that point.

Make your move across the break to carefully watch the incident and if you can, tell us from where the bike came from.

Opel Ascona Helps Demolish Brick Shed in Belgium Rally

Rally events supply us with all sorts of funny videos, most of them involving low-speed crashes. While we do take accidents seriously, some of them are too funny not to share with you – of course, we’re talking about those that don’t result in injuries or, God forbid, victims.

Such a crash happened during a Belgium rally, where the driver of a second-generation Opel Ascona lost control of the car on some mud trails and ended up hitting a not very well-made brick shed.

Although the car didn’t carry too much speed at the moment of the impact, the wall that was hit collapsed completely, much to the amusement of spectators.

No one was hurt, but the owner of the shed may be facing a dilemma: should he charge the rally crew money to repair the building or should he actually pay them for helping him demolish the poorly-built shed?

Russia's X Driving Files: Was a Man Ejected from the Trunk in this Rear End Crash?

Yes, we have yet another mystery from Russia's roads in our hands, one that calls for an explanation. We'll try our best to offer one, but feel free to watch the following dash-cam video and provide your own.

If you fast-forward the clip (we already did it for you), you'll see an older generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124 saloon crashing into the rear end of what looks like a Lada (mind you, we could be wrong on this one) with a man seemingly ejected from the car's trunk!

Don't worry, it doesn't look like he was hurt or anything as he immediately got up all by himself and ran back to the car to check out the driver and passengers.

What you do think happened here? Do share your thoughts below in the comments.

Grandpa Tries to Take Grandson Off-Road in Ferrari F12b in Belgium; Tree Blocks Way

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has so much horsepower that we’re not even going to mention the exact figure here – it’s a lot for two wheels, no matter how wide, to handle, particularly in the wrong hands. Thankfully, it looks like it’s pretty safe when the imminent crash does happen, as the video below reveals.

It shows the aftermath of a pretty severe-looking accident in Belgium, where a grandfather and his grandson were out and about in the now wrecked F12 – the ahem loaned wrecked F12berlinetta, that is…

Apparently, the older gentleman overcooked one of the corners, and completely unsurprisingly, the back is believed to have broken loose and landed the front-engined supercar on its side, leaning against a tree.

As previously stated, the car withstood the (probably relatively) low-speed crash well, and both the driver and passenger walked away unscathed; physically, that is, as grand pappy’s wallet will never be the same again.

Beware of the Truck Before You Look Out for the Potholes

You have to feel for this poor driver who was traveling on a pothole-infested highway near the town of Buzuluk in eastern Russia.

While the person behind the wheel was trying his or her (the gender is not clear, but we do hear a female-like groaning in the end along with some chirping sounds of the same type you see in cartoons when someone is knocked in the head…) best to avoid all sorts of holes and badly nicked sections of asphalt without endangering the lives of other road users, a senseless truck driver thought it would be a good idea to attempt a passing on the opposite side.

And yes, there was a crash, but luckily, it wasn't a deadly one. See how this incident played out in the dash-cam footage that follows below.

D'oh! Audi Employee Forgets Handbrake, Car Falls and Almost Crushes Him

If by any chance you happen to be employed at a car dealership / service center, you can (and should) put this to your "must-do" list of things to check and complete: always make sure that a parked vehicle is in gear (manual gearbox) or in Park (automatic transmission) and that the handbrake has been pulled all the way up.

What is that you say; "who cares about handbrakes, they're only useful around corners and on the move"? Sure, you can choose to not listen, but don't come back saying we didn't warn you when you fall in the same pickle as this young gentleman from Moscow, Russia.

He did none of the above and look at what happened to him; he almost got killed when an Audi A3 came falling down from a lift...

Luckily, he lived to tell the embarrassing tale to his boss and the unfortunate owner of the car.

What a Shame: Two Young Soldiers Drown to Save Military Chief's SUV from Floods in Bolivia

Warning: Some viewers may find the following video difficult to watch

It's always a shame when somebody dies, but it's even more painful when young peoples' lives are drastically cut short in a tragic and sudden manner, which is what happened to a military cadet and a soldier who drowned in Bolivia earlier this week while trying to save their military chief's private car, a Nissan X Terra.

A flash flood that hit the area had swept away the SUV, with the military chief jumping in the waters in a desperate attempt to rescue his vehicle. The man asked for help with two young cadets and a soldier coming to his aid - unfortunately, only one of the three men made it out alive.

The military chief was unharmed and was able to find and rescue his vehicle, which was found at a distance of 15 miles away, but at what price? As pointed out by local journalist Ramiro Quiroga in one of his tweets, "the two young men gave up their lives up not for their homeland, but for their chief"…and his shiny ride.

Yep, It's Definitely Slippery When Wet

Ever get the feeling that it's not over until the fat lady sings? For sure, you might get that sense of disappointment watching the first seconds of this video as the dark grey hatch has already gone under the trench, but remember what we said in the beginning of this post?

Captured from the dash-cam of a fellow motorist who had stopped to help out the first distressed driver, a second accident came into light just moments later.

You can watch it for yourself in the video past the break, but we will say that, taking into account the oncoming traffic, the second driver should probably feel pleased in the end that nothing worse happened.

Gangnam Style: Try Explaining This to Your Insurer

Have you had the misfortune to be involved in a bizarre accident and then have to go explain to your insurer, the cops and perhaps even your family and friends, how it all happened?

Here's an example of what surely qualifies as a "bizarre" incident. From what we understand, it was filmed in South Korea and it shows a white car (at the 24 second mark) somehow ending up riding the side of a parked Hyundai Santa Fe…

Not sure how one does that, but this driver achieved it and was actually stuck in this position (the smoke coming out from the back suggests this was a rear-wheel drive car).

Hop over the break for the short dash-cam clip.
