Subaru Warms Up Legacy B4 Blitzen Concept for Tokyo Auto Salon [w/Video]

The new Legacy is one of the blandest-looking cars in its segment, which probably explains why Subaru is experimenting with its styling at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Can You Believe that this Subaru Driver Escaped from the Cops?

It could very well be a scene from the Grand Theft Auto gaming series, but this happened in real life in Russia, and as crazy as it may sound after looking at the dark grey Subaru Forester surrounded by cars and cops in the above print-screen, the driver actually managed to get briefly away!

New 2015 Subaru Outback Spied, Rumored to Debut in New York

Do you know how many Legacy sedans Subaru sold in the Unites States last year? The answer is 42,291 cars. The reason why we mention it is that, during the same period, the Japanese firm sold almost three times as many units of the crossover-flavored version of the Legacy Estate, the Outback, with 118,049 deliveries.

Subaru Details 2015 WRX’s Styling and Performance in New Video

Following the world debut of the 2015 Subaru WRX at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the carmaker has released a video that contains an in-depth look at the car’s highlights.

Narrated by Dominic Infante, Subaru of America National Manager Product Communications, the video covers all the new features of the car.

Starting with the design, this is one more painful reminder that the production WRX is a far cry from the Subaru WRX Concept revealed earlier this year at the New York Auto Show. Still, it can be considered an improvement over the previous generation.

The big news, however, is the new 2.0-liter engine which not only brings a little more power (268 hp/+3hp), but is smaller and mounted lower, which has a positive impact on the car’s handling – as does the 41 percent stiffer chassis.

Subaru says the 2015 WRX will do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just over five seconds with the manual transmission, which sounds pretty good. Scroll down to find out what else is new on the car from the official video.

Subaru's Concept and Production Stars of the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show

Having two, or to be precise, three international auto shows taking place at the same time in different parts of the world (Los Angeles, Tokyo and Guangzhou) is a tricky and difficult task for automakers, yet Subaru somehow found the time and the resources to make a splash in the two most important ones, in the U.S. and Japan.

In fact, the company even had time to left to…obliterate Toyota's dreams of building a convertible version of the their co-developed coupes (GT 86/FR-S/BRZ).

While in LA, it showed the production 2015 WRX performance sedan and the conceptual 2015 Legacy sedan, in its homeland of Japan at the Tokyo Motor Show, it uncovered three world concept premieres and a Japanese concept debut, along with a few new editions of existing cars.

Our favorites were the Levorg, a thinly-veiled concept of a production estate positioned between the Impreza and Legacy with two power options, a 168bhp (170PS) 1.6L turbo and a  296hp (300PS) 2.0L turbo, and the Cross Sport for a BRZ-based or BRZ-like three-door crossover, about which, the company simply refuses to tell more.

The other two studies were the Crossover 7 Concept for a seven-seater replacement for the Tribeca, and the Viziv crossover from this year's Geneva and Frankfurt motor shows. Other presentations included the BRZ Premium Sport Edition and the Forester X-Break.
