Sounds of Lamborghini Aventador Scraping the Road will Make You Cringe

Yes, yes, this is the now infamous matte-black Lamborghini Aventador LP640-4 that went airborne after colliding with a Mazda2, before striking a parked BMW 3 in London this past Sunday, stirring quite a commotion in the online world, with some people placing the blame on the tall Japanese hatch, but most, on the Italian supercar's driver.

Santa Claus Chills Out with Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster

Like many other companies these festive days, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini is also embracing the Christmas spirit with a video that focuses on Santa Claus.
We meet the man in the red suit chilling out in a bar in the North Pole on Christmas Eve at 6:30 PM ordering multiple milkshakes with no intention to leave. The clock ticks pass 10 PM, but Santa shows no desire to stop drinking milkshakes, much to the dismay of the grumpy barman.

If you have a heart that beats strongly inside you, then you must have felt something about Lamborghini's €2.1 million Aventador J Speedster that was presented at this year's Geneva motor show.
However, wanting and being able to obtain the roofless Aventador J Speedster are two different things. Even if you could afford it, Lamborghini only built one specimen that was sold to an unnamed buyer even before we laid our eyes on the car.

2013MY Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 gets Cylinder Deactivation, Start/Stop and Refined Chassis

The spotlight at Lamborghini's Paris Motor Show stand may be on the cosmetically refreshed Gallardo LP560-4, but it isn't the only Raging Bull model to receive an update for the new model year.
Joining the Gallardo is the 2013 version of Lamborghini's flagship Aventador LP700-4, which was upgraded on several levels, despite the fact that it has only been on the market for less than a year.
In fact, the changes on the Aventador are far more substantial than on the Gallardo beginning with the adoption of newly developed start-stop and cylinder deactivation systems for the V12 engine.
The start-stop system used on the Aventador is unique and comes fitted with high-performance capacitors known as "supercaps", which allow for a much faster start up than a conventional unit at 180 milliseconds or 0.18 seconds.

On Wednesday, an official source from within the VW Group more or less confirmed the debut of a luxury SUV concept from Lamborghini at the Beijing Auto Show in China in April.
Today we learn that the Sant'Agata sports car maker has yet another "surprise" in store for us, this time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Video: Witness the Birth of a Lamborghini Aventador

We’ve already shown you our fair share of Aventador videos including films of Lamborghini’s top dog being assembled in a museum, tearing up the Vallelunga race track and even a virtual promo clip. But truth is, we never get tired of checking out Lamborghini’s newest supercar, if not in the flesh, then at least on video. And we imagine neither do you.
The newest film to come out from Sant’ Agata shows the entire process of the Aventador’s conception - from a sketch on paper through CAD models and the stitching of leather by hand, to the assembly of the fabulous V12 and the honing of the carbonfibre parts… But let’s not say anymore – just follow the jump and watch it for yourself.

Aussie Supercar Buyers Paying More than Anyone

In today’s economy, AU$1.0 will get you US$1.06, but it seems Australia’s overseas automakers have yet to acknowledge this. A Lamborghini Aventador, for example, costs a hefty AU$754,600 – or more than twice the price you would pay for one in the U.S. of A. And its 51% pricier than a V12 powered Lamborghini Diablo was ten years ago. This was tolerable when the Aussie dollar was worth 64 U.S. cents a few years ago, but those days are over.
While TV’s, computers and mobile phones have all become more affordable, supercars have not. It’s so bad that one prospective Lamborghini buyer, businessman Ra Hazouri, has flat out refused to pay.

Watch a Lamborghini Aventador Being Assembled Piece by Piece in a Museum!

You may remember the international media launch of the Lamborghini Aventador held last month in Rome. There were so many videos coming from Italy's capital that we didn’t know where to start from. And guess what? It ain’t over yet as we have one more video, one far more interesting. Among the many events related to the Aventador launch there was also a display inside the “Chiostro del Bramante”, a contemporary art museum located in the historical center of Rome.
Entitled “La Forza del Toro” (Italian for “The Force of the Bull”), the exhibition consisted of a Lamborghini Aventador and five V12 engines from different periods of time. Nothing out of the ordinary so far, except the fact that builders of the 16th century building erected it without anticipating that a 2.03-meter wide, 4.78-meter long supercar would one day have to come inside…
